The first major review I'm going to undertake is Zoho office suite. I've been enamored with their products since they started. I'm not sure whether it's their open communication development process, their wide ranging application offerings or the fact they seem to be one step ahead of Google. Whatever it is I've been dying to dig into their applications in detail. read more | 1155 reads

Zoho Notebook is an online notebook that allows you to note or record many types of media. Maybe you carry around a notebook or pad to jot down notes. Possibly, you use an online notebook such as Google Notebook. You might even use a standalone note manager such as Evergreen or Onenote from Microsoft. Zoho Notebook is a web application that is in the same tree. The difference is Zoho Notebook is a might oak compared to those sapplings. My interest in reviewing Zoho Notebook was sparked by my disdain for Google Notebook. I find myself thinking, "If this is the best Google can do, I feel sorry for them." It really is a pathetic attempt at an online notebook. Zoho, on the other hand, seems to have created an online notebook from the ground up. They grew to feature all tasks, needs and future proofed it. It's is simply an amazing effort to meet all the needs of an online notebook user. Before I continue prattling on, let's get to the review. Zoho Notebook is a beta application. I'm starting to see a pattern in the Zoho applications; all seem to be in beta. That's ok, as Zoho Notebook loads almost instantly and presents you with the following screen: read more | 753 reads

The next Zoho application to run through is Zoho Planner. I don't know what to expect going in, but I do know I am looking forward to a planner that can help me track to do items online. Zoho describes the application as in beta and simply as Online Organizer. read more | 853 reads

Zoho writer is described simply as an online word processor. You access it using your favorite browser and it's still in beta. Before I start the review series I want to detail the equipment I am using. Here is a relevant list generated through Belarc. It is not cutting edge by any means: read more | 1159 reads

My husband often likes to remind me of the many times in our marriage that I've changed my mind. Changed my mind from 'No I don't need that," to "Yes, I can't live without it." I thought I didn't need a computer, or a cell phone, a laptop, satellite TV, a photo-quality printer, a wireless card, the better digital camera, a bigger memory card, an mp3 jukebox and the list goes on and on. It is during times when my productivity is booming from my new technology devices that dear hubby likes to drop his favorite phrase, "and you thought you didn't need that," with a smuggish smile. Ok ok. I do admit, I like my technology! Give me a week with my new toy and I'm quickly singing its praises! Now I just love hearing about new products and how they're going to help me save time and make my life easier. read more | 1432 reads

I recently had a dilemma that could have easily blown up in my face. I knew grandma’s birthday was coming up at the end of the month but here it was days away and it still had to travel 3 states away. Yikes! My real dilemma was that I still didn’t even have a card and I had to mail one pronto! Normally this isn’t a problem. For several years I’ve enjoyed making my own cards more personable with the use of Hallmark’s Greetings Workshop for the PC. Unfortunately, ever since I upgraded my PC a few months ago I haven’t found the CD that I lent my daughter. I now had to find a new way out while still being able to personalize a birthday card with my PC. read more | 3352 reads
